How do I copy or export citations in the new EBSCOhost interface?

Answer

Copying citations

  • To copy citation information for articles, eBooks, etc:
  1. From a record's detail view, click the Cite tool icon.

  2. Select a citation style from the Style drop-down menu.

  3. Click the Copy to clipboard button.

  4. The formatted citation is copied to your clipboard and is ready to be pasted into your document.

Export a single citation

  • The EBSCO Cite tool also offers the ability to export citations to your citation tool of choice.
  • To export a citation:
  1. From a record's detail view, click the Cite tool icon.

  2. Click Export Citation in the Cite box.

  3. Click the link for the desired tool. Your citation is sent to your chosen tool.

Bulk exporting citations

  • To export up to 25,000 results:
  1. After completing the search, click the drop-down arrow at the top of the result list and click the Export results (Up to 25,000) link.

  2. Enter your E-mail address and select a preferred export format from the options below.

    Note: You can also add email addresses for Additional recipients to receive the link to download the export file.

  3. Click Send.

  4. EBSCO e-mails you a link to download an export file which you can import into your bibliographic software. The link will be available for download for 7 days, after which it will no longer work.
