How do I save items and/or copy links to items in the new EBSCOhost interface?
Answer
Projects in My Dashboard
You can create a specific project that will allow you to compile all saved resources and searches for a particular topic or assignment in a custom folder. This can be found in the Projects tab of My dashboard. Click the blue + icon to create a new project folder.
Save functionality
Saved content (articles, books, etc.) and searches can be found in the Saved tab of My dashboard. From this page, you can also remove bookmarks, add content to Projects, share links, download .csv files of your bookmarked items' detailed information, and create search alerts.

Permalinks
When viewing a journal article, eBook, report, etc. on the new EBSCOhost, you have the ability to copy a link to that content that can be shared via email, social media, and more.
Please note: Links you share will only work if a user is authenticated into EBSCO resources through a subscribing site, i.e. library, academic institution, etc.
Copy a link in the new user interfaces
-
Navigate to the details page or full text of an article, eBook, etc. in EDS, EBSCOhost, or Explora.
-
Tap the Share icon
in the tools menu.
-
Click Create link in the Share menu and then click the Copy to clipboard link.
-
Paste the link in an email, social media post, etc.
Copying links from your web browser's address bar
-
You can also copy EBSCO URLs from the address bar in your web browser.
Simply highlight the URL in the address bar and use your device's copy and paste functionality to copy the address and paste it wherever you would like to share it. Previously on the classic EBSCOhost interface, links copied from the address bar would time out and give users an error after 30 minutes. However, the new EBSCOhost interface's URLs from the browser's address bar no longer time out and are considered permalinks.
